Orchard Salon #7
• Debate over Dems caving (or not) over the Shutdown
• War in the Caribbean
• Stefanik running for Gov.
Join Jay and Rosemary monthly where you’ll get to hear them dissect news and issues of the day plus have the chance to tell those know-it-all reporters what they are getting wrong. We hope this will be a funny and enlightening presentation about reporting, government, and world affairs. And sports. Maybe music too. And cats. Whatever you want.

Jay Jochnowitz is editor at large of the Albany Times Union and a regular panelist on WAMC’s Round Table. He joined the TU as an Albany City Hall reporter in 1987, did turns as state editor in 2000 and editorial page editor in 2008, then finally retired in 2022 as opinion editor. But, happily for readers, his witty, forceful, and insightful editorials and columns still run in the TU, He’s also a gentleman farmer and long time martial arts practitioner, well rounded you could say. He’s reachable at jjochnowitz@timesunion.com
Rosemary Armao is an opinionated, outspoken journalist and professor with more than 50 years experience reporting, editing, training and teaching around the world — yet still she seems to have a lot to say. She used to be on the Round Table too until WAMC treated her wrong (that’s her story and she’s sticking with it) so now she hosts her own weekly podcast called An Armao on the Brink featuring some of the many cool people she’s encountered in those decades journalism talking about important topics like the decline and fall of western civilization or topics that distract from that decline like books and travel and cats.
